Francesca was born and raised in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the North of England.
There she studied BA Hons Spanish with Business at Northumbria University and then moved to Madrid to teach English. She qualified to teach English as a foreign language and has five years of experience teaching in both the private and public sectors. She has also worked as an in-house and freelance translator and subtitler for the last three years, obtaining a diploma in subtitling from University College London. She gained invaluable practical experience working as a sales negotiator and marketing assistant before and during her studies, something she has been able to employ frequently in her other endeavours.
Francesca is passionate about languages and has extensive working knowledge of the business world, both of which she wants to share through her work at The Language Market.
Antonella was born in Cagliari, Italy. She obtained a BA degree in Modern Languages from the Università degli studi di Perugia, Italy, before moving to Dublin, Ireland, where she worked for 10 years in the corporate and cultural sector. She continued her education by obtaining an MA Degree in Arts Administration from University College Dublin and a Master’s Degree in teaching foreign languages from the Università Ca’ Foscari in Venice. In 2013 she moved to Madrid, where she has taught Business English and Italian, and has worked as a translator and subtitler. Her experience in large multinational companies and in smaller Irish businesses, together with her linguistic background, gave her the skills and tools to teach classes which are focussed on professionals’ needs, according to their working sector.
